Naturopathic Medicine
With Dr. Guadalupe Garcia
What is a Naturopathic Doctor?
A Naturopathic Doctor (ND) is someone who focuses on identifying and addressing underlying health factors. NDs use an integrative approach that can include nutrition, botanical medicine, supplementation, and other evidence-informed approaches. The goal isn’t to manage symptoms, it’s to understand the bigger picture and target the root cause.
What does it take to be an ND?
Becoming a licensed Naturopathic Doctor requires extensive doctoral-level education and clinical training. ND students complete a 4 yr, full time doctoral program after their undergraduate education. The curriculum includes many of the same foundational medical sciences taught in other healthcare professions.
How can an ND help you?
An ND can help you understand how your nutrition, hydration, sleep, and movement and other factors may influence how you feel, perform, and heal. This can mean looking beyond pain relief and providing a personalized approach to your health and a stronger, more resilient body.
What are conditions that NDs treat often?
NDs can help with:
Digestive concerns
Fatigue and low energy
Sleep issues
Stress and burnout
Metabolic health concerns
Hormone health
Immune health
Chronic health concerns
Nutrition and lifestyle related concerns
And more…
